A three year old made the observation my paintings were fuzzy and colourful. Quite so. There are few hard edges in nature and I am a bit liberal with the colour but hope the colour tells a story. I gave the little chap a tiny painting he chose and was  sent a painting which he had done later that day which is quite brilliant. The mark making is free and pure, with colourful and uninhibited movement of line. I would love to have this ability.

A comment by a fellow artist was that my painting reminds them of ex-rays. I do use a lot of layering of paint which gives a translucent and transparent effect which is a way I am able to control the development of the work by bringing out elements and disguising others.
